Charles Dance is an English actor who made his feature film debut in the James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only (1981). He began his career on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has portrayed a variety of authoritarian characters and villains throughout his career. Dance's notable film appearances include The Imitation Game (2014), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), and Dracula Untold (2014). He has also starred in television series such as Game of Thrones (2011–2015) and The Crown (2019–2020), earning Primetime Emmy nominations for his performances. In 2006, he was appointed an OBE.
