Charles Berling is a French actor, director, and screenwriter who studied acting at the Belgian school INSAS in Brussels. He has appeared in various films, including White as Snow (2019), and is the father of actor Émile Berling. Berling comes from a family with a literary background, being the nephew of literary critic Raymond Picard. His mother was born in Morocco to French settlers. Throughout his early life, he moved from Paris to Brest, Toulon, and eventually Tahiti at the age of seven.
