Chaim Topol is an Israeli actor who portrayed Tevye in the stage musical Fiddler on the Roof and its 1971 film adaptation, performing the role over 3,500 times from 1967 to 2009. He gained recognition for his work in the film For Your Eyes Only (1981). In addition to acting, Topol was also a singer and illustrator.
