Chad Knaus is an American former NASCAR crew chief who won five consecutive championships. He has been a significant figure in NASCAR since 1991, achieving 81 victories as Jimmie Johnson's crew chief. Knaus has worked with several teams throughout his career, including Dale Earnhardt Incorporated and Hendrick Motorsports, where he currently serves as Vice President of Competition. He was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2024 and appears in the documentary American Thunder: NASCAR to Le Mans (2025).
