CCH Pounder is a Guyanese-American actress who portrayed Mo'at in Avatar (2009) and its sequel Avatar: The Way of Water (2022). She appeared as Dr. Loretta Wade in NCIS: New Orleans (2014-2021) and District Attorney Tyne Patterson in Sons of Anarchy (2013–2014). Her film credits include roles in End of Days (1999), Face/Off (1997), and Sliver (1993). Pounder lent her voice to Amanda Waller in Justice League Unlimited (2004–2006) and has received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her performances in various series. She played Sister Abigail in Orphan (2009).
