Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is a Japanese-American actor who portrayed Shang Tsung in the film adaptation of the video game Mortal Kombat (1995). He has an extensive filmography that includes roles in Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009), Elektra (2005), and 47 Ronin (2013). In addition to his film work, Tagawa has made appearances on television shows such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Thunder in Paradise, and Heroes. He also voiced the character Sin Tzu in the video game Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu. Tagawa's notable performances include playing Heihachi Mishima in the Tekken movie.
