Carrie Coon is an American actress who made her film debut in Gone Girl (2014). She gained prominence for her role as Nora Durst in the television series The Leftovers (2014–2017). Coon has received critical acclaim, earning a Critics' Choice Television Award and multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for her performances in Fargo (2017), The Gilded Age (2022–present), and The White Lotus (2025). Her film credits include The Post (2017), Widows (2018), and Boston Strangler (2023). Additionally, she portrayed Callie Spengler in Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and its sequel, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024). Coon was also nominated for a Tony Award for her Broadway debut in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (2012).
