Carole Shelley is an English-American actress who won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her role in The Elephant Man (1979). She had a notable stage career, including performances as Gwendolyn Pigeon in The Odd Couple and Madame Morrible in the original Broadway cast of Wicked. In film, she appeared in Hercules (1997) and Robin Hood (1973).
