Carole Bouquet is a French actress who gained prominence for her portrayal of Melina Havelock in the 1981 film For Your Eyes Only. She has appeared in over 40 films since her debut in 1977, including Luis Buñuel's surrealist work That Obscure Object of Desire (1977) and the César Award-winning Too Beautiful For You (1989). Bouquet received a César nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Rive droite, rive gauche (1984). In addition to her film career, she was a model for Chanel during the 1980s and 1990s. Bouquet was engaged to Gérard Depardieu from 2003 to 2005, and she served on the jury of the 4th Shanghai International Film Festival in 1999.
