Carl Reiner was an American actor, stand-up comedian, director, screenwriter, and author who created and produced The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1965). He worked on Your Show of Shows and Caesar's Hour, collaborating with notable figures such as Mel Brooks and Neil Simon. Reiner appeared in films like It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966), and the Ocean's film series (2001–2007). He directed and co-wrote several successful films for Steve Martin, including The Jerk (1979). His accolades include 11 Emmy Awards and a Grammy Award.
