Burt Reynolds is an American actor who starred as Lewis Medlock in Deliverance (1972). He gained fame through various television series, including Gunsmoke (1962–1965) and Dan August (1970–1971). Reynolds became a leading figure in cinema with memorable performances in films such as The Longest Yard (1974), Smokey and the Bandit (1977), and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982).
