Bruce Campbell is an American actor and filmmaker who portrayed Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead horror series, starting with the short film Within the Woods (1978). He has appeared in several cult films, including Crimewave (1985), Bubba Ho-Tep (2002), and Evil Dead Rise (2023). Campbell also starred in the television series The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1993–1994) and Burn Notice (2007–2013), and he reprised his role as Ash in Ash vs. Evil Dead (2015–2018). His work extends to directing and producing documentaries such as Fanalysis (2002) and My Name Is Bruce (2007).
