Brian J. Smith is an American actor who portrayed Lt. Matthew Scott in the television series Stargate Universe (2009-2010). He studied at the Juilliard School Drama Division after completing the Quad C Theatre program at Collin County Community College. Smith gained attention for his role as Trey in the independent film Hate Crime (2005), which addressed themes of intolerance. His film credits also include Red Hook and The War Boys. In addition to his film work, he appeared on Broadway in Come Back, Little Sheba (2008). Smith featured in The Matrix Resurrections (2021) and Treadstone (2019).
