Brandon Victor Dixon is an American actor, singer, and theatrical producer who originated the role of Harpo in the Broadway musical The Color Purple (2005). He has received Tony nominations for his performances in both The Color Purple and Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed (2016). Dixon also played Berry Gordy Jr. in Motown: The Musical (2013), which garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album. He portrayed Aaron Burr in Hamilton. Additionally, he starred as Judas Iscariot in NBC's live concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar, earning a Primetime Emmy nomination. Dixon's producing credits include the Tony Award-winning revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
