Bolaji Badejo is a Nigerian actor who portrayed the titular Alien in the film Alien (1979). His performance in this role marked his only appearance in acting. Originally a design student, Badejo was discovered by casting director Peter Archer while at a bar, where he was sought for his tall and slender physique. The production team had struggled to find a suitable actor for the role, having considered various alternatives before selecting Badejo. He faced health challenges throughout his life, having been diagnosed with sickle cell anaemia as a child. Bolaji Badejo passed away on December 22, 1992, due to complications from his illness.
