Bobby Fischer is an American chess grandmaster who became the eleventh World Chess Champion. He gained fame at the age of 13 for a remarkable game known as The Game of the Century. Fischer achieved significant milestones in his career, including winning eight consecutive United States Championships and becoming the youngest grandmaster and World Championship candidate at ages 15 and 20, respectively. His perfect score of 11/11 in the 1963–64 U.S. Championship is a historic achievement. Fischer's influential book, My 60 Memorable Games, was published in 1969. He is featured in the film Queen of Chess (2026).
