Blair Underwood is an American actor who made his feature film debut in Krush Groove (1985). He gained significant recognition for his role as attorney Jonathan Rollins in the NBC legal drama L.A. Law, which he portrayed from 1987 to 1994. Underwood's film career includes notable appearances in Just Cause (1995), Set It Off (1996), and Deep Impact (1998). He has received multiple accolades, including three NAACP Image Awards and a Grammy Award. In addition to his film work, he has had a successful television career with roles in series such as The New Adventures of Old Christine and Quantico. Underwood co-authored the novel Casanegra: A Tennyson Hardwick Novel in 2007.
