Billy Bletcher was a voice actor who provided the voice for Black Pete in Disney's animated features, notably in 'Dumbo' (1941). He had a prolific career from the 1910s to the 1970s, appearing in numerous films and television shows, including roles in 'Our Gang' and 'The Three Stooges' comedies. Bletcher had a deep baritone voice, which he used to portray various characters for major studios like MGM and Warner Bros., including Spike the Bulldog in 'Tom and Jerry' and Papa Bear in 'The Three Bears'. His vocal talents were featured in the 1939 serial 'Zorro's Fighting Legion' and the 1944 WWII training film 'Private Snafu'. Bletcher also voiced characters in several animated shorts.
