Billie Bird was a vaudeville comedienne who toured theater circuits after being discovered at an orphanage at the age of eight. She entertained troops during the Vietnam War on 12 USO tours in the 1960s and 1970s. Bird appeared in notable films such as The Odd Couple (1968), Home Alone (1990), and Dennis the Menace (1993). Her television credits include a regular role in the sitcom Dear John (1988-1992) and a cameo in George & Leo (1997). Bird's last film appearance was in Jury Duty (1995), starring Pauly Shore.
