Bill Daily is an American actor and comedian who portrayed Major Roger Healey in the television series I Dream of Jeannie (1965–1970). He began his career as a musician, performing with jazz bands before transitioning to acting in the early 1960s. Daily played Howard Borden on The Bob Newhart Show (1972–1978), which earned him an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1977. His film credits include The Love Bug (1968), The Out of Towners (1970), and Alligator 2: The Mutation (1991). Daily also made guest appearances on popular shows such as Cheers and The Golden Girls.
