Betty White is an American actress and comedian who produced the sitcom Life with Elizabeth, making her the first woman to do so. With a television career spanning 80 years, she was a pioneer in the industry, gaining recognition for her roles as Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973–77) and Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls (1985–92). White also appeared in numerous game shows, earning the title 'First Lady of Game Shows' and becoming the first woman to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host in 1983. Her notable works include Lake Placid (1999) and Trouble (2019). White received eight Emmy Awards throughout her career, among other accolades.
