Benoît Poelvoorde is a Belgian actor who gained prominence with the cult film C'est arrivé près de chez vous (1992), where he portrayed a charming serial killer. He became a prominent figure in Franco-Belgian cinema during the late 1990s and 2000s, featuring in comedies such as Les Randonneurs (1997), Le Vélo de Ghislain Lambert (2001), and Podium (2004), the latter earning him a César nomination. Poelvoorde has also taken on dramatic roles, appearing in Entre ses mains (2005) and Coco avant Chanel (2009).
