Ben Affleck is an American actor and filmmaker who won two Academy Awards for his work on Good Will Hunting (1997) alongside Matt Damon. He began his career as a child actor in the PBS series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984, 1988) and gained prominence through various films, including Armageddon (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), and The Town (2010). Affleck directed and starred in the political thriller Argo (2012), which earned him a Golden Globe and BAFTA Award for Best Director, as well as an Academy Award for Best Picture.
