Basant Shawqi is an Egyptian actress who began her career in 2011 with the theatrical production Stories from Tahrir. She transitioned to film and television in 2013, appearing in the series Temporary Name and the film Family Secrets. Shawqi participated in the TV show Fear Factor Xtreme in Argentina in 2009 and has undergone various acting workshops, including those with Ahmed Kamal and Marwa Gebril, as well as at the Maggie Flanigan Studio in New York. She is featured in the film Voy! Voy! Voy! (2023).
