Barbara Sukowa is a German actress who won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for her role in Rosa Luxemburg (1986). She has collaborated extensively with directors Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Margarethe von Trotta. Her notable film credits include Lola (1981), Europa (1990), M. Butterfly (1993), and Hannah Arendt (2012). Sukowa also appeared in Atomic Blonde (2017) and Two of Us (2020).
