Barbara Hale is an American actress who portrayed Della Street in the Perry Mason television series, appearing in over 250 episodes and 30 made-for-TV movies. She began her career in Chicago, transitioning from modeling to acting, and moved to Hollywood in 1943. Hale starred in several films during the 1940s, including Higher and Higher (1943), West of the Pecos (1945), and The Window (1949). She played the title role in Lorna Doone (1951) and appeared in Airport (1970) as the wife of a pilot. Hale's notable role as Della Street solidified her legacy in television history.
