Aziz Ansari is an American actor and comedian who played Tom Haverford in the NBC series Parks and Recreation (2009–2015). He began his career in comedy while attending NYU Stern in 2000 and co-created the MTV sketch show Human Giant. Ansari gained significant recognition for his work on the Netflix series Master of None (2015–2021), which he co-created, starred in, and for which he won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe, marking a historic achievement for Asian American actors in television. His film credits include Epic (2013) and he released the stand-up special Aziz Ansari: Right Now, which was nominated for a Grammy Award. Ansari also authored the book Modern Romance: An Investigation in 2015.
