Ayan Mukerji is an Indian film director who made his directorial debut with Wake Up Sid (2009). He gained significant recognition with the success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), which is one of the highest-grossing films in Hindi cinema. Mukerji has also directed Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) and Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva (2022). His work often features themes of youth and self-discovery. He collaborated with Karan Johar, who produced several of his films, including Wake Up Sid. Mukerji will direct War 2 (2025).
