Austin P. McKenzie is an American actor who made his professional theatre debut as Melchior Gabor in Deaf West Theatre's Broadway revival of Spring Awakening (2015). His portrayal earned him critical acclaim and multiple nominations for theatrical awards. McKenzie graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language and Vocal Performance. He also starred in the film Speech & Debate (2017) and the ABC miniseries When We Rise (2017), where he played young LGBT activist Cleve Jones. He later appeared as Fred in the film Unhinged (2020).
