Aurélien Recoing is a French actor who gained prominence for his role in Laurent Cantet's Time Out (2001). He began his film career in 1980 with Exploits of a Young Don Juan and has since appeared in over 30 plays and numerous films. His notable works include Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013), 13 Tzameti (2006), and the crime thriller Diamant 13 (2009). Recoing has also directed stage performances and won the Prix Gérard Philipe in 1989. He made his first short film as a director, The Rifleman (2021), which received an award for Best Drama. He is currently developing his debut feature film, Naked Hands (À Mains Nues).
