Audra McDonald is an American actress and singer who has won six Tony Awards, the most by any performer in history. She has appeared in notable productions such as A Moon for the Misbegotten, Carousel, and Ragtime. In addition to her Tony Awards, McDonald has garnered two Grammy Awards and an Emmy Award for her performances. She received the National Medal of Arts in 2016 from President Barack Obama and was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2017. McDonald appears in Rustin (2023).
