Atsuko Tanaka is a Japanese voice actress who portrayed Motoko Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell franchise. She began her acting career as a background extra while studying at Ferris University and later worked as an office lady before pursuing voice acting at the Tokyo Announcement Academy. Tanaka's extensive body of work includes roles such as Konan in Naruto (2002), Caster in Fate/stay night (2006), and Chun-Li in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (1999). She lent her voice to characters in various popular series, including Bayonetta and Jujutsu Kaisen. Tanaka was affiliated with Mausu Promotion at the time of her passing.
