Asta Paredes is an award-winning actress and filmmaker who first gained attention for her role as ‘Chrissy’ in Troma Entertainment’s cult films Return to Nuke 'Em High Vol. 1 & 2. She has established herself as a strong presence in subversive cinema, with notable performances in Blackout (2023) and Trauma, or Monsters All, both part of Larry Fessenden’s “Monsterverse.” Her filmography also includes titles such as The Creeper’s Curse, Eros Point, and Shades of Blue. In theater, she has portrayed characters like ‘Joan Baez’ in Bob Meets Bob and ‘Ursa Minor’ in Tiny Disasters. Asta co-founded Abandoned House Productions with her husband, Clay von Carlowitz, and is dedicated to advocating for cultural equity and narrative integrity.
