Ashton Chen is a Chinese actor and martial artist who gained fame as a child actor in the film Shaolin Popey II: Messy Temple (1994). He began training in martial arts at a very young age under the guidance of his father and Shi Yongxin, the abbot of Shaolin Temple. After a hiatus from acting to study in the United States, he returned to China and portrayed Zhan Zhao in the television series Young Justice Bao III. Chen has been involved in various projects, including the martial arts film Ip Man 2 (2010). He is also known by his dharma name, Shi Xiaolong.
