Ashok Saraf is an Indian actor and comedian who has been active in the film industry since the late 1960s. He has appeared in numerous Hindi and Marathi films, often collaborating with Laxmikant Berde, particularly in comedy roles. Some notable films include Benaam Badsha (1991), Gupt: The Hidden Truth (1997), and Singham (2011). In addition to his film work, Saraf has also featured in popular television serials such as Hum Paanch, where he played the character Anand Mathur. He is affectionately known as the Mahanayak or Mama of the Marathi film industry.
