Arturo Ambriz is a Mexican filmmaker and animator who directed the first stop-motion film in Mexico, "I Am Frankelda" (2025). He co-founded the stop-motion studio "Cinema Fantasma" in Mexico City with his brother Roy Ambriz. Prior to their feature film, they produced bumpers and promotional spots for networks such as Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and Nickelodeon, as well as for the NFL. Their collaboration with Guillermo Del Toro on "I Am Frankelda" marks a significant milestone in Mexican animation.
