Anupam Kher is an Indian actor, director, and producer who has appeared in nearly 400 films and 100 plays. He gained international recognition for his roles in Bend It Like Beckham (2002), Bride and Prejudice (2004), and The Mistress of Spices (2005). Kher's notable works include Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Rang De Basanti (2006), and Hotel Mumbai (2019). He received the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016. Kher co-starred in the Academy Award-winning film Silver Linings Playbook (2012).
