Anu Aggarwal is a gold medalist in sociology from Delhi University who made her Bollywood debut in the musical hit Aashiqui (1990). After starting her career in modeling and VJing, she gained significant attention for her role in the film, which led to a surge in her popularity. Aggarwal also appeared in the Doordarshan serial Isi Bahane (1988) and posed nude in the short film The Cloud Door. Following a serious accident that resulted in a 29-day coma, she has since embraced powerlifting and competes in various competitions. Aggarwal practices yoga at the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger, Bihar. She has expressed a belief in the empowerment that comes from physical strength.
