Anton Yelchin was an American actor who portrayed Pavel Chekov in the Star Trek reboot series. He began his career in the late 1990s, appearing in films such as Along Came a Spider (2001) and Hearts in Atlantis (2001). Yelchin gained further recognition with his role as Jacob Clarke in the miniseries Taken and starred in various films including Like Crazy (2011), Green Room (2016), and Terminator Salvation (2009). He also lent his voice to Clumsy Smurf in the Smurfs films and starred as James 'Jim' Lake Jr. in the animated series Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia. His career was tragically cut short in 2016 due to an accident involving his SUV.
