Anthony Franciosa is an American actor who received an Academy Award nomination for his performance in the film adaptation of A Hatful of Rain (1957). He began his career on stage and gained recognition for his role as a brother of a drug addict in the original play, which also earned him a Tony Award nomination. Franciosa appeared in various films throughout his career, including roles in The Long Hot Summer (1958) and The Detective (1968). He also starred in Firepower (1979).
