Ansel Elgort is an American actor who starred as a teenage cancer patient in The Fault in Our Stars (2014). He began his career with a supporting role in the horror film Carrie (2013) and gained further prominence through his role in The Divergent Series (2014–2016). Elgort played the title character in Edgar Wright's action thriller Baby Driver (2017), earning a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. His filmography also includes lead roles in The Goldfinch (2019) and Steven Spielberg's adaptation of West Side Story (2021). He received critical acclaim for his performance in Baby Driver.
