Anne Bancroft was an American actress who won an Academy Award for her role as Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker (1962). She gained prominence on Broadway with her performance in Two for the Seesaw (1958), earning a Tony Award for Best Supporting Actress. Bancroft's film career includes notable works such as The Graduate (1967), The Elephant Man (1980), and Agnes of God (1985), the latter earning her another Academy Award nomination. In addition to her film accolades, she received three BAFTA Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards, making her one of only 24 actors to achieve the Triple Crown of Acting. She lent her voice to the character of Mrs. Worker in Antz (1998).
