Annaleigh Ashford is an American actress, singer, and dancer who received a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her role as Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It with You (2014–15). She performed as Glinda in Wicked (2005–2006; 2007–08) and Lauren in Kinky Boots (2013–14), the latter earning her a Tony nomination. Ashford has also appeared in film, with roles in Second Act (2018) and Late Night (2019). Her television credits include Betty DiMello in Masters of Sex, which aired for four seasons on Showtime. In 2017, she played Dot/Marie in the revival of Sunday in the Park with George.
