Angelo Badalamenti was an American composer who collaborated extensively with director David Lynch, particularly on the score for Blue Velvet. His work includes notable films such as The Straight Story (1999) and the Twin Peaks saga (1990–1992, 2017), as well as Mulholland Drive (2001). Badalamenti earned a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance in 1990 for his composition of the "Twin Peaks Theme" and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Soundtrack Awards. He also won the Henry Mancini Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
