Andy Samberg is an American actor and comedian who starred as Jake Peralta in the television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He is a member of the comedy music group The Lonely Island and gained fame as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2012, where he helped popularize the SNL Digital Shorts. Samberg has appeared in various films, including Hot Rod (2007), I Love You, Man (2009), and Palm Springs (2020). He has also lent his voice to characters in the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs series (2009–2013) and the Hotel Transylvania series (2012–2022). In 2013, he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy for his role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
