André Morell was a British actor who portrayed Professor Bernard Quatermass in the BBC Television series Quatermass and the Pit (1958–59). His extensive career spanned from the 1930s to the 1970s, during which he appeared in notable films such as The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) and Ben-Hur (1959). Morell also played Doctor Watson in the Hammer Film Productions adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959) and featured in the historical drama The Caesars (1968). Morell appeared in The Camp on Blood Island (1958).
