Anatoly M. Sagalevitch is a Russian explorer who has served as the director of the Russian Deepwater Submersibles Laboratory since 1979. He earned a Doctor of Sciences degree in 1985 and has been affiliated with the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology since 1995. In addition to his scientific contributions, he appeared in the film Titanic (1997).
