Amy Poehler is an American actress and comedian who co-founded the improvisational-comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade. She began her career in the early 1990s after studying improv at Chicago's Second City and ImprovOlympic. Poehler gained prominence as a cast member on the sketch-comedy series Saturday Night Live and later starred in the television series Parks and Recreation. Her film credits include Inside Out (2015) and Wine Country (2019). She is a founder of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, which has significantly influenced the comedy scene.
