Amrit Kaur is an actor and writer who graduated with a BFA in Acting from York University in 2015. She has continued to hone her skills through training with Michele Lonsdale-Smith and Stephen Park at the Lonsdale Smith Studio in Toronto. Kaur is involved in various artistic pursuits, including writing her first play, Hummingbird, with guidance from Marjorie Chan and Cahoots Theatre’s TCR Hothouse Program. Her artistic influences include performances by Charlize Theron in Monster, Aamir Khan in Lagaan, and Cynthia Erivo in The Color Purple. She actively volunteers with the South Asian Women’s Centre and enjoys playing the piano and practicing poi performance art.
