Amitabh Bachchan is an Indian film actor who made his debut in the film Saat Hindustani (1971). He gained prominence in the 1970s as the 'angry young man' of Hindi cinema, earning acclaim for his performances in films like Sholay (1975), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), and Black (2005). Over his career, he has received numerous accolades, including six National Film Awards and sixteen Filmfare Awards, making him one of the most awarded actors in Indian cinema. In addition to acting, Bachchan has also worked as a playback singer, film producer, and television presenter. He served as a member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.
